Statement of Purpose

The Bosworth Clinic provides musculoskeletal therapy and rehabilitation services within the private sector. Our aim is to provide first class, patient centred care within a flexible and professional environment. Our integrated approach allows us to strive to achieve the best possible results for our patients.

Treatment

All assessments and treatments are performed by qualified, registered and insured therapists who work within their defined scope of practice as dictated by their relevant UK governing body.

Payment

Payment for treatment must be settled at the end of the appointment unless we have pre-authorised treatment with an approved third party. We accept all major credit and debit cards (excluding American Express) cash and cheques.

Cancellation Policy

When an appointment is scheduled, this allotted period of time is held exclusively for the patient. We therefore require 24 hours’ notice to re-schedule or cancel appointments to avoid incurring the full cost of the booked treatment.

Please note most insurance companies do not pay cancellation charges and therefore patients will be invoiced for this directly.

Insurance

It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure private medical insurance cover is adequate to pay for treatment. It is imperative that patients contact their insurance company before commencing treatment to clarify any restrictions on their policy. In all circumstances patients are responsible for the payment of their treatment. Should any claim be declined in whole or in part, the patient is required to pay the outstanding balance in full.

The clinic accepts direct settlement arrangements only from third parties with whom the clinic has a prior arrangement. We do not accept referred payments from secondary insurance companies that cover excess payments.

Data Protection

All data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988.

Medical records are stored electronically and accessed only by authorised personnel. Disclosure of information may be made to appropriate health professionals, such as your GP, when communicating about your presenting condition. It is common practice to write to your GP and/or referring specialist, if you do not want this to happen please inform your clinician.

Patients have the right to access information held about them. To obtain this information, or if you have any concerns about data protection at the Clinic please contact the Practice Manager.

Clinical information will be transmitted back to your email address unless you explicitly request that we convey it through a different medium e.g. post. Whilst The Bosworth Clinic makes every effort to ensure its internet infrastructure is secure, email can be unsafe and the Clinic can take no responsibility for transmitting data electronically.
